The short-lived love story

C4SSS
I stumbled on Christoper Ward forum when I was doing some reading on Rotary watch.  Both are British brands but I never heard of Christopher Ward before. What captured my interest was CW claim to offer high quality swiss made watch at an affordable price. I mean wait a minute, even most of Rotary watches are no longer swiss made. Anyway, CW designs are very attractive, with 20% off on the Valentine sale, I'm sold. Bought my wife a Matisse. Absolutely brilliant. The design, the details, size...stunning. The watch really stands out. The best part was it looked at least 3 times what I paid for.

I've been stalking CW website ever since. My eyes were fixed on C7. Summer 2010, CW had a sale up to 50% and had to buy one. Instead of C7 I've decided on C4SSS. It arrived 2 days later, and I was quite happy with it. The watch itself is a beauty but I hope I had paid less. I once saw a C7 nearly new on sale for a 100.

Unfortunately last Sunday, one of its hand came off from its post. That was just silly. C4 looks like a tank, feels like a tank. With "swiss made" stamp on its dial, seeing a loose hand seams like a stupid joke. Maybe it was just my luck. Im sure other C4s out there do not have this kind of problem. Repairs takes 4 weeks, so I guess bye bye CW for now. It was short but I had fun. Thank you.
