1/60 Shutter SPeed Please!

I watched a youtube tutorial the other day on Shutter Speed 101. The magic number is 1/60 sec. The instructor said that any speed slower than this will produce "Camera Shake". I presume blur images. Owh well, thats common sense. Human movement can't be faster than 1/60... Right? So armed with this new revelation I went out to take some pictures. I had to pick up Hazeeq from nursery @ half past 5 and wait for another 1/2 hour for his mummy to finish tutorial. Good way to kill some time.

Set to M and shutter speed 1/80 just to be safe. Hazeeq was running around the field. He was running faster-faster. I confidently set the speed to 1/100 to compensate. I guess you already know the result.. right? Shooting moving objects @ 1/60 ..1/100 is a disaster. I didn't check the result till we got on the car. Couldn't risk him running too close to the road. Also check images from previous day taken on Auto Mode. The slowest speed was 1/160.  Haha Ha.
